Class: Fluid Fascia – Yin Yoga + Myofascial Release
Saturday at 11:45 am, Sali 1
Take an experiential dive into your fascia as we deeply unwind body and mind with Yin Yoga and Myofascial Release techniques
Your body is a fluid ecosystem. Mobility, continuity and tensegrity are facilitated by your fascia, the fibrous network of connective tissue enmeshed in gel that wraps and penetrates everywhere like a three dimensional web. Yin Yoga and myofascial release help to hydrate and revitalize this integral fascial system that Western science is just beginning to explore in greater depth. Eastern traditions have long recognized the importance of harmonizing chi Flow through our fascial channels. In this practice we will combine the long passive stretches of Yin Yoga with myofascial release techniques, melting away stiffening, adhesions, and trigger points in the body while encouraging fluid flow.
Class: Assisted Yin Yoga (Partner Yin)
Sunday at 10:45 am, Sali 5
Partner Yin – come with a friend or by yourself and experience the deeply soothing practice of Assisted Yin Yoga. Hands on.
Assisted Yin is a profoundly soothing practice done with a partner or yoga therapist. Gently held in long relaxing asanas, the receiver is able to completely let go and sink into the poses, unwinding tension deep in the hips, legs and lower back. These passive stretches act as a calming energetic tonic for the whole body and mind. Leta will guide each set of partners through an assisted yin ”taster”, so both partners have the chance to give and receive. Absolutely no experience necessary to join! Bring a friend, relative, spouse- or whomever you would like to share this practice with. Singles are also very welcome! Just be comfortable with being hands on. Warm welcome!
